Earlier in March, I was given the opportunity to do a review for Angel in Training, if you have read my review you would then know that I totally fell in love with this series. What I did not know at the time and discovered then is that Book 2 Angel Eclipsed (The Louisiangel Series) (Volume 2) was already out and available. What’s a girl to do?
I quickly grabbed my iPad and got the book on iBooks. It took me a little time to have a spare moment and read it as I was already committed to other reviews, so now is my chance to tell you all about it. I am going to say it outright from the get go I LOVED IT! Here you go, now you have in hands my humble opinion. Just perfect nothing to moan about other than I need to know what happens next!
What I need to rectify from last post is that I previously made the assumption that the Louisiangel Series was going to be a Trilogy. Can you blame me? Everything is a trilogy these days. However, after having the wonderful chance to email with Cheryl (awesome author extraordinaire) she revealed to me that the Series would actually consist of 5 books and not 3. I was going to edit the previous post but at the end I figured I would leave it for this one so I have some yummy news for you guys.
Isn’t it totally awesome?
Seeing myself so excited about this series reminded me actually of my reaction when I read the Mortal Instruments by Cassie Clare when those books were being released way before the movie and the TV show. I am really hoping this series will be as successful because the writing is still wonderful and thank you Angels for the fast pace and all the action going on.
One thing I haven’t mentioned is the cover. Doesn’t Angel look totally badass on it? She is like a red headed Lara Croft but with even more attitude infused in her! What’s funny is that I did not directly see in the background Joshua falling out the window, I am assuming it is him. I noticed it later on as I was checking it out closely. Which made me kinda sad since I wouldn’t have missed it if I had hard copies instead of ebooks.
The more I am reading and the more I want to go and visit New Orleans, so I am officially putting it on my to visit list thanks to the book.
So you are asking yourself what is going on? I am going to give you some spoilers. Lucifer may or may not have risen but we get meet 2 of his besties and guess what? One of them we know already! I was shocked!!!
Ronnie and the cherubs took a stand and walked out, IKR!!!
Plus Joshua is the key to something and I have no idea what. Actually no one else does. So as usual my imagination goes rampant and straight into Supernatural and I have no idea what to think. I mean, all I can think of is that either Joshua is the “meat suit” for Lucifer thank you Sam and Dean for the disturbing ideas or he has to be sacrificed in some way or another. Again I blame you Winchesters for those ideas. Let us hope I am wrong cause honestly either way cannot be borne.
I will not have it!!!
Plus Joshua and Angel seem to have a thing going but there is also Archangel Michael taking Angel on trips to Paris. See, I called it last time we are all we need for an odd love triangle my friends. Ooh I almost forgot, we meet Archangel Raphael and St. Patrick!!! (I will not say more, but if you are anything like me you are going to love this!!!!!)
So I could go on and on and on but I will spare you my ramblings. All you need to know is that it was even “awesomer” (I know it is not a word) than the first one and I need #3 stat!!!
Enjoy!
Author’s Bio:
Cheryl works in an office by day. By night she leads a (not-so) secret life DJing, and throughout it all, is constantly scribbling away as the plot bunnies demand constant attention.
Her first novel was written when she should have been revising for her exams. While it is unlikely to ever see the light of day, it was the start of long relationship with the evil plot bunnies of doom.
A need to do more than just one subject led her to the University of Hull, where she graduated with an honours degree in American Studies. For the third year of the four year degree, she was able to call Baton Rouge home. Since then, Louisiana has claimed a large chunk of her heart, and remains a place she will always consider home.
LSU was where she discovered FanFiction and currently writes (mainly) CSI:NY stories and a Rescue: Special Ops story.
When not transcribing the stories of the angels and archangels, working, or DJing, she is at the beck and call of three cats – all of whom rank higher in the household than she does.
