Luke’s Redemption by Anni Fife
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
In November, I was one of the lucky bloggers to be part of the blurb blitz for Luke’s Redemption and I was deeply touched when Anni reached out and asked me if I was keen on doing a review a short while later.
When a book looks and feels good, I never say not and again I am more than happy to say that once again I made the right decision because as a first book, Luke’s Redemption was really good.
I read it in two sit-ins as I was interrupted by work, but frankly, it is really well written and it reads so easily. It has a great pace and overall all the characters main and otherwise are really well written and introduced. As this is book 1 of a series, I kept wondering who was getting to be the next hero.
But before I think too much about book 2, let us focus on this one and of course on Luke and Katya.
Starting with Katya, I really liked her and she has a great back story that makes her a really interesting character is all of her thoughts, actions and reactions and results of said history. At the end of the day, it is pretty much the same for all of us.
Luke is more mysterious and complex, and we only get to know more about him during the second of the book. I think we are all in agreement here that our boy messed up really badly and has misplaced priorities, but with all that he was still solid and way too dreamy for our own good.
I loved the story and it spans across a few years (just so you know) and it is packed with hot steamy romance, action, adventure and a few laughs too.
As usual, I do not want to give you major spoilers here and you know I always recommend reading especially if you feel anything I said was on the cryptic end of the spectrum.
It is a really wonderful first book and I cannot wait to see the rest of the series and anything else Anni will come up with in the future. To think of it, I am now quite anxious for what comes next.
Luke’s Redemption pushed all the right buttons for me and I am a sucker for a good romance in between my love for Sci Fi, Paranormal and Fantasy.
Thank you Anni for the opportunity and I can safely say that Luke’s Redemption was a wonderful book to start 2017 with.
Hi Nadine. Thanks so much for your very generous review. I’m delighted that you loved my book. Yep, Luke is so gorgeous that it is perfectly understandable that Katya gives him another chance. Just to put you out of your misery, Gray’s story is next…and it is as heartbreaking as it is hot! Thanks again. Anni xx
Hi Anni, Thanks for visiting and for telling me Gray is next. I thought about it but there was also Dani and her sexy shadow so it was a 50/50 in my mind. I cannot wait to read the next book. Thank you so so much for the opportunity. xx Nadine
