I think I mentioned it before, but I used to live in Glasgow, so I know a little about those sexy Scottish men, and boy oh boy if Cailean is not what smexy dreams are made of!
Though I do not want to give too much of the plot away considering there is a good blurb right above, the one thing that came to my mind when it started getting interesting is that it felt like a reverse Outlander (Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon). Though to be fair in Outlander, Claire went back to the 18th Century and here Cailean ends up in the middle ages.
If I were in that situation, not sure what era I would like…

Ok maybe like there but not there so that I don’t have to put up with the way women used to be thought of or treated in those times. I would not stand for such crap and my patience would wear thin quickly.
For this reason, I can only admire Cailean for not losing his mind when he finally realized when he was! The funny bit is that took him such a long time to actually realize it and still he was thinking it was all a prank. Funny the things we convince ourselves of when reality is too hard to comprehend.
I really really enjoyed it and I think some part when it comes to Cailean’s reactions and denials are funny, I enjoyed reading the book quite a lot and I finished it all in one go. There is a second book and I cannot wait to have it because I need to see what is going to happen and if Cailean is going to remain in the middle ages or get back to our time.
The characters are really very well written, it goes without saying that I loved our main hero and Lady Julianna was really amazing too! These 2 make a lovely pair and there is a special mention for Julianna’s parents and brother that are pretty badass too!

So as you can see, I have really loved Edge of Yesterday and cannot wait for book 2 in the series. So in case of any doubts, I am going to highly recommend it and hope you love it as much as I did.
