My name is Ashley Ellis…

I was thirteen years old when my mother – retired supermodel, Tig – married Mosier Răumann, who was twice her age and the head of the Răumann crime family.

When I turned eighteen, my mother mysteriously died. Only then did I discover the dark plans my stepfather had in store for me all along; the debauched “work” he expected me to do.

With the help of my godfather, Gus, I have escaped from Mosier’s clutches, but his twin sons and henchmen have been tasked with hunting me down. And they will stop at nothing to return my virgin body to their father

…dead or alive.

** Contemporary Romance. Due to profanity and very strong sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.**

I really liked this book!

I have read and reviewed fairy tales retelling before, it has been a while though and I was really keen on this one. It is not every day you associate Cinderella with Mafia bosses, but I loved it and thought that it was very creative.

Well, we really know the story, so I am not going to be overall spoiling it for anyone, but still.. it really stands out on its own and Fragments of Ash was truly beautifully written, nicely paced and spot on!

The backstory for the characters was really well defined and made you really understand their current state and motivations.  There are a few surprises and twists; a few gripping moments and to be honest I really got sucked in the story very quickly.

I think Katy truly did an amazing job and I hope there are more books in the pipeline (I do supsect there are!)

Ashely was truly a wonderful character, she is relatable and it is so easy to empathise with her.  In this story, Ashley has it a lot worse than original Cinderella.  Honestly, that was a trajedy waiting to happen!

I am not going to give you any more, because what will happen is that I will likely spill the beans and discuss every plot point!

No one wants that!

So if you are into fairy tales, heck in the mood for a romance with a bit of danger, then this is truly the book for you!  Katy did Cinderella right and took it to the next level.  I cannot tell you what I expected when I opened my Kindle, but I can tell you that I was really very pleased with the final results.

I am going to be very highly recommending Fragments of Ash, and I am looking forward to the next one in this series. I wonder which story it will be next time.  I kinda want Sleeping Beauty, but Beauty and the Beast is equally good…

Given the choice dear readers, what would you want?
