Review:

You know how it is when you get your hands on a book when you have a strong feeling that it is going to be good and then you realize you were right all along?  Yes, this is what happened here my friends.

Right from the blurb and who the author is, I knew!  Sometimes, I am manage to be surprised but here my friends it was right on. Every single one of my buttons were triggered!

Ok let us go into the book and we know from the title and the series in general that this is a riff on very beloved Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare!  So going in, you sorta already know roughly what will be going on unless you have lived in outer space or in some remote location and never read the play, seen one of the many movies or how many pop culture references…

So Roman meets Julianna and the rest is history…

Not!

In this version Roman is well a nice guy stuck in a mafia family and our Juliet and I mean Julianna is a cop and her dad is well Chief.  So Roman meets Julianna by chance.. sparkles fly and well they are on the opposite side of the law!

I am not going to go in too deep of the story line, I mean we have a good idea of what will go on, but I won’t tell you more since I am liking the way Sienna went with this but I would like to focus on the characters and this is where I am happy!

Both Roman and Julianna and fabulous alone and together. Both of them have difficult back histories and I felt that it is what brought them together and made them so relatable and real; well at least to me.

I could not help myself but want them together! I could not help myself but root for them to overcome everything around them and mostly their families.  It is funny cause for the original Romeo and Juliet I never felt this strongly… I mean yes we want them together but in a way if they had part ways at the end instead of well you know.. it would not have bothered me.

However here and there are still 2 more books after this one, if those 2 do not end up with a happy ending, I think I would cry!

Now writing this, makes me realize how much emotionally invested with the 2 and this is for me what makes for an amazing book and read!  Plus, I am already dying for what comes next!

Frankly, this is for me the perfect book for this time a year! Grab yourself a glass of something cool and you are going to need it cause those pages are HOT, HOT and HOT!

I think you know what I will say here, but I am going to highly recommend this book and I know you will not be disappointed cause I certainly was not and I cannot wait for the next one!
