Harlequin Kimani Romance
To kiss a royal
As Grand Serenity’s goodwill ambassador, Princess Samantha DeSaunters lives a dazzling, high-profile life. Her own romantic dreams come second to her devotion to her island realm. Until she impulsively kisses a sexy stranger at a political gala. Now the reticent royal can’t get enough of Garrison Montgomery, the former soldier hired to keep her and the throne safe. But who’ll protect Sam from yearning to turn their mock courtship into the real thing?
In the Caribbean to run security for the ruling family, Gary instead finds himself caught up in a sizzling forbidden affair that could sabotage his mission. As he and Sam share passionate secret nights that make him forget about his past, the threat against the DeSaunterses escalates. Can Gary protect Sam from the enemies out to destroy the crown and hold on to the chance at happily-ever-after with his princess?
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The past few weeks have been totally nuts and time flew really fast between work and my reading.
Not too long ago (in June) I reviewed To Marry a Prince and I was introduced to the royal DeSaunters siblings. In To Marry a Prince, the eldest Kris meets Landry and the rest….
Well you need to read the book!
In Loving the Princess, we are following Sam’s story (Kris’ younger sister) and the unfolding of the events that have been plaguing the family with attempts on their life.
This is the second book of a 3 part series and it is as good as the first book.
Here it all starts where Sam is caught kissing a guy (his name is Gary) during a public event and it turns out well that said guy is a friend of her brother’s Kris plus an ex US army sniper!
He is on the island to help uncover who wants to hurt the family.
I really loved Sam in the first book and she is even better now in her own story. A really nice person, but still she doesn’t allow people to walk all over her.
Gary on the other hand is more of a mystery and plays it really safe, but I think for both of them you can see how their relationship changes and how they get more and more into each other!
I have given plenty away and you know that there is also plenty more that I do not mention here, because I am always encouraging to read the books.
I do believe this could be read as a stand alone novel, but it would be better in terms of continuity to start with book 1 first. It will help with understanding certain events and dynamics a lot better. But I leave that up to you!
Mrs. Arthur once again has done a wonderful job with book 2 and I have book 3 to read and review for you in the next coming days.
This is such a wonderful series, I love that the setting is in a Caribbean island and the part of my that loves a bit of mystery is having a blast trying to figure out who wants to hurt the DeSaunters.
Book 3 of the series is called Prince Ever After, I am hoping everything will answered then and I will have the review for it up (fingers crossed) very shortly.
In the meantime, a big thank you to A.C. Arthur for the opportunity to read and review the books and I am so sorry for the delay as work got in the way!
In any doubt, I am going to highly recommend Loving the Princess and don’t forget to grab To Marry a Prince as well!
