Now this a great way to start the year to say the least!
We are back to witches and this one is a mess… of course, then you can imagine all sorts of fun and entertaining things happening!
I have to say that I finished the book pretty quickly, it was a very lovely and easy read, we had a great mix of action, sexual tension some loaded emotional moments and a few smart twists!
If you have been reading my blog for a while then you know that I was a very happy girl when I was nose deep in Rise.
let’s talk about the characters, we have Alix our main girl who starts off being a bartender, she is a witch with no powers, I know!!! Then we also have a Matt who has been pretty much in limbo for a decade (He’s a Guardian and well he and Alex have the hots for each other but it is forbidden!!), Callie, Asher and Liv.
They really make for an eclectic odd group but their interactions are golden and you can see them pretty much get tighter together. Alex has gone through a lot, it shows but she did not let it beat her spirit, the girl is a fighter!
I went digging in to see when the next book was out and well, let me tell you that I found book 2, 3 and 4 already out and based on what I have seen, it is a 5 book series!
YAY!
I already grabbed book 2 on my Kindle Unlimited and it is called Ignite.
I know, I did not go in too deep this time around giving you piles or hints or some spoilers though we all know I try to avoid doing it as much as possible but I can tell you that Rise was a marvelous read and I am going to very highly recommend it to you all!
