That is all you need to know… I am serious! I finished and I loved it so much that I ran straight to Amazon to grab book 2 on Kindle Unlimited.
The reason I was able to do that is because the book has been since September and I am so annoyed at myself for not knowing about it sooner!
Let me start and say that I was not aware of what a reverse harem series is, but gotta say I approve! I need one too, one guy each day of the week so that I will only put up with him then and he will not get on my nerves that way…
A girl can dream…
But let us get back to this pretty darn awesome book! Yumoyori is an amazing writer and I really enjoyed her style very much! It was sometimes too detailed (we all know how I feel when you cut my ass-kicking action time with details) but, tell you what at the end I was fine with it.
I really felt the story was quite original and not just about the harem business, but the characters, the back story and honestly the whole world of it was just great!
Did I mention that I rushed to get book 2? that ought to tell you something friends!
So back to book, we meet a young Makoto (very sailor moon-ish) and well things are not all sunshine and happiness for her! She is locked up a possession of The Owner (weirdo!) and well it is actually really bad. We meet her first at 8 and then 16 years later as she is rescued by some really HOT knights.
This is where my storytelling ends…
Come on, by now you all know how evil I can be!
The book is funny, smart, sad, it really covers quite a wide range of emotions as we journey with Mako (her preferred name) as she learns freedom, fall in love, and faces real life for the very first time.
The characters are fabulous, I have a soft spot for Ryder (you need to read to know who he is!), Mako is simply unique and honestly I had pretty much a huge smile plastered on my face the whole time I was reading (well except for the sadder parts)!
I am going to super highly recommend it and I really hope you fall in love with Dark Wish like I did!
Yumoyori, I am counting on you to keep that series amazing and I cannot wait to read more of your work!
