At the time the ARC was offered for review, I did not realize that it was book 2.
I actually read it as soon as I got it on my kindle, did not put it down till I was done and pretty much loved it! As I mentioned this is Book 2 of the Riggins U series, and when I finished Because of Liam, I went back and got book 1 called Because of Logan.
In the spirit of open honesty, I can tell you right now that I am obsessed with River! Seeing her in book 1 cemented said obsession as the woman is downright epic! So what happened is that I read Because of Liam, bought Because of Logan read it, and went back to reading a second time Because of Liam.
It should come to no surprise when I say, that those 2 books are amazing and I am obsessed!
There you now know the truth!
But let us focus a little on Liam and River…
If you have read Because of Logan, you, of course, know River as she is Skye’s sister. She is really something else and always elevates any situation with her quick with and big mouth!
Kinda reminds me of me.. in the big mouth department!
Liam is a different story, we only meet him now and is dealing with his own set of issues.
Ok they both are!
Liam is a veteran!
Tell you what though, River and Liam meeting is downright the funniest thing I have read in ages!
I was hooked from there!
There is a lot that happens, both River and Liam are truly fantastically entertaining and even deeply touching together… did I mention that they both have issues?
Yes, well we get to address those…
That is as many spoilers I am willing to give you, other than the book was beautifully written, the character really very nicely drawn and I did mention above that I am officially obsessed!
If you are like me and start with reading Because of Liam first then, there is no issue. It is a perfectly good stand-alone novel and you can enjoy it perfectly well as a solo. But because I am a weirdo like that, I went back to book one because I wanted to know more on how Skye and Logan got together.
I do not like missing out on things…
Either way, this book has everything and I can happily re-read it over and over again and it is not going to get old! I really could see me do that, considering that I have already done it!
Based on all of that, you know that I am going to be very highly recommending Because of Liam and encourage you to actually read it, heck go and get both and you will thank me later!
I do hope you will love both books as much as I did!
