Bloodline Destinies by Iuliana Foos
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I was really excited to get an ARC of this book as I truly enjoyed the first book.
Just to give you a recap, here we are dealing with vampires my friends. If you are like me a huge fan of them, then you will love this book and series for sure.
I have to tell you that what I love most is the totally different origin to vampirism that is used here. I find it very creative and I have to admit pretty much a huge favorite of mine. I cannot help myself when we take the classics and spin them in more creative and exciting ways.
Here we get to meet Theodore in the follow up to the first book and I have to say that he was a likable character just like the previous book, I believe the main characters in each book are outstanding.
I really liked Theo and Viv as well. Together they were really entertaining, though to be honest, I did feel like one or the other did need a bit of an ass-kicking (IMHO)! I did want to give Vivian a shake or two, but hey she has a complex and painful recent history.
I get it!
You know me, I will not dig in too deep into the story and give you spoilers. However, I can safely say that if you have read the previous book; then this one is of the same caliber and I have enjoyed it so much.
If this is your first stumble on this post and book then I am going to recommend you start with Bloodline Origins first and then continue with this baby right here. To be fair, you could read this as a stand-alone, however, I think understanding some of the history and relationships would give you a better understanding of Theo.
If you are a vampire aficionado like me, then you will truly enjoy Bloodline Destinies. On the other hand, if this is not usually your cup of tea, I still would highly recommend it to you for the inspired storytelling.
My one gripe is that the book finished too quickly. I do hope you enjoy this baby as much as I did.
Will there be a book 3?
