As a frenchie, I have known that quote pretty much my whole life.  What does it mean? Well for those who do not know it here is the rough translation, it means something like “The heart has its reasons that reason does not know”.  That means pretty much you cannot help who you love and that reason/rationality has pretty much nothing to do with it.  I should use this as one my future Quote of the Day post, but later.

Why did I start with that, you wonder? Because it really bugs me in this day and age where we are supposed to be so much smarter than our ancestor for this kind of bigotry and hatred over something as personal as someone’s sexuality and love.  I was lucky to have grown up where I have never seen it being an issue unlike some other places in the world.  Who you sleep with in the privacy of your own home, I don’t give a f****! What I care about is that if you are a decent person or a douche and that applies to both men and women.

Plus, I would like to point out that over 2000 years ago, back in Greek and Roman times there were no taboos in terms of sexuality.  So are we actually 2000 years later less open and accepting than people in ancient times? Isn’t that pathetic?  But I guess that is another massive debate.

Back to topic as you all know my love for Cambria’s books and especially for the Hashtag series.  So when #Rev was delayed from the original publishing date we were all a bit disappointed but you know what at the end of the day it happens.

So no one jumped from joy like I did yesterday when I got the notice in my mailbox and I finally got it on my iBooks.  I was reading something else, and I dropped it and started reading #Rev.  If you have not read #Junkie, I would recommend you start there before getting and reading #Rev because otherwise you would be missing quite a bit of the story.  You can read those books without having read the Hashtag ones.

Alright, this is the part where you are going to get a little bit of spoilers but not much I can do about it. Remember how things did not go so well for Trent at the end of #Junkie?  Well we start #Rev with the aftermath of that disaster and the consequences of it. I think it would be fair to say that everyone is rather raw and itching for an ass kicking and that is including Rimmel.

Actually, the book is very emotionally charged throughout even though we are dealing with 2 guys.  Trent and Drew do not make for a flamboyantly gay couple nor for girlish behaviours but those emotions still run deep.

Being a Libra, I cannot help by bristle at the injustice of it all, and in that I think Cambria did a really wonderful job of portraying their reactions and feelings perfectly.  I was immensely disappointed in Ivy and Drew’s dad and Trent’s mom.  And just like Drew, I think Granny is the best!

It was great seeing Joey again, I had hoped to see more of her this time around, can I say that at some point I wondered if she was going to make an appearance in the #Trew sandwich but I think Cambria may have other things in store for her. The same applies to Lorhaven and his brother Arrow (my heart broke for him!!); where underneath all the bluster you can find a decent guy.

For her second MM novel, I think Cambria really outdid herself and the whole Series has been spectacular, I am guessing it is not easy writing MM cause you would to put yourself in a male mindset, but here it doesn’t matter because you see the heart and the love for the characters in every line of the book.

Fantastic series and book and now what I need is to know when R&R are going to have their own baby, it is cruel to make me wait like that.
